We are actively recruiting for the role Project Manager. Reporting to the Manager, Project Development & Execution, the Project Manager is a key contributor to the advancement of critical growth projects for NRM.

 

Role Description:

The Project Manager is accountable for driving advancement of the project(s) in accordance with NRM Project Delivery Model (PDM).  This role is focused on Projects that are in the development phases (Concept, Pre-FEED, and FEED) of the PDM. The Project Manager oversees, and guides work performed by Engineering Service Providers, suppliers and construction contractors and ensures projects are developed following NRM policies, procedures, and engineering specifications. 

 

Key Stakeholders:

  • Engineering Service Provider(s) and Consultants
  • Equipment / Material Suppliers, Service Vendors
  • Fabricators, Integrators, Construction Contractors
  • Project Team:  Project Engineers, Project Controls, Construction and Commissioning, SCM, Document Control.
  • NRM Engineering, Operations, Regulatory, Land, Engagement, HSE, etc.


Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage assigned projects 
  • Manage internal stakeholders as it pertains to advancing project delivery, including Operations, Engineering, HSE, Commercial, Regulatory, Indigenous and Community Relations, Lands
  • Manage contractors, vendors, and fabricators
  • Develop project execution strategies and plans for entire project delivery cycle
  • Ensure project plans are reviewed and approved (including Estimates and Schedule)
  • Coordinate and approve the issuance of PO’s and Contracts from best cost competitive vendors and contractors
  • Provide accurate monthly project cost and schedule forecast
  • Ensure change management process is properly implemented and followed
  • Work closely with the Commercial and New Ventures groups to provide technical advice regarding business proposals and business development opportunities
  • Provide high-level estimates and schedules in order to screen potential opportunities
  • Work closely with Regulatory and Indigenous groups to develop Integrated Regulatory Plans
  • Develop execution strategies that will allow the success of Projects as they progress through the PDM

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 15 years experience in project management, of which 5 years will be within gas processing plant design, pipeline design, and/or execution settings
  • Experience in project estimating and scheduling
  • Experience in engineering, procurement, fabrication, construction, and commissioning 
  • Strong Technical background with a Professional Engineering status
  • Strong organizational, communication and leadership skills
  • Strong Cost Control experience
  • Proficiency in SAP is an asset
  • Experience in both an owners organization and an EPFC organization is an asset
